March 27th

The race would be a cold and blustery one. During time trials, Tim Flock scored the pole position. Tim would lead the first 48 laps. On the 21st lap, John Capps would flip his Lincoln. He was unhurt. On lap 49, Jim Paschall overtook Tim Flock and held off Buck Baker for the victory. The speedway had four top Chevrolet executives attend this race to watch their flagship compete.

October 30th

The 1955 Grand National finale was held at Orange Speedway. It was a Tim Flock day. He grabbed the pole, the win, and the championship all in dominant fashion. He took the checkered flag over Curtis Turner. It was his 16th win of the year and he won the championship by 508 points.
