We are only 3 months from our annual event - there is much to be done. Please see the list below and let us know if you are willing to help.
1. Deadline for the annual yearbook ads is rapidly approaching - please send all ads to Suz Weiss before June 30. 2. We need to get the work out about the event weekend to all media in every area we can. Please send any media contacts to Suz by the middle of July. 3. There will be a couple of work days at the track for clean up, prior to the event. We need as many people as possible to help so we do not have that expense with paid workers. Dates will be announced some time in July. 4. And of course, we will need lots of people on event day, Saturday, September 26. If you have questions about any of the above, please contact either Suz Weiss (919-306-2309 or email [email protected]) or Gene Hobby (919-779-7820) Thank you to everyone for your support all year. Let's make this year the best yet! It is time to plan the big event in September. WE NEED YOUR HELP! There are several jobs available. AND there is plenty to do at the track to get ready for the event so if you can work some Saturday mornings or another day during the week, please let us know! There will be some work days planned for the up coming months.
The next meeting will be June 9 - 7:00 PM at the Efland Ruitan Club at the corner of Forrest Street and Hwy 70, in Efland. You do not need to be a member to come to the meetings. We need help with planning the event, help to set up the event and of course help during the event all day Saturday. The best way to find out jobs available is to come to a meeting. The May meeting for the Historic Speedway Group is Tuesday, May 12 - Efland Ruritan Club at 7:00 PM.

The #72 Dodge has been in the salvage yard of Billy Eubanks and was donated to the Historic Speedway Group by Norman Horton.
