The Historic Speedway Group is a Non Profit Organization focused on the preservation of the last remaining track form Nascar’s inaugural 1948 season as well as to preseve the history that surrounds it. To resurrect former remnants of Occoneechee / Orange Speedway to the way they were formally presented. To gather the community and promote fellowship for this great and historic cause.

Racers Reunion – Occoneechee – Orange Speedway

On Friday and Saturday August 27th and 28th – The Historic Speedway Group will host the Fourth Annual Celebration of the Automobile Car Show & Racers Reunion.

The two day event will be held at the Historic Occoneechee-Orange Speedway, Elizabeth Brady Road / Highway 70-A, Hillsborough, North Carolina.

Racers Reunion will feature guest appearances by prominent NASCAR drivers and Car Owners.

Cotton Owens – “King of the Modifieds” – famed racing driver and car owner of David Pearson

Hoss Ellington – famous NASCAR racer & team owner (Donnie Allison & A.J. Foyt)

And many more

Music will be provided on August 27th by The Pizazz Band at the cruz in at the Daniel Boone Big Barn from 7-pm to 11-pm. Free admission.
